Crafty Monday: Jess and a hook roll

Moni

080903So here is what I’ve been working on all week. Jess! It is a long cardigan made with denim yarn and published by Rowan. It was originally published in Rowan Magazine 31 but I was able to download the pattern from Rowan’s website. This pattern is the reason I bought a freaking cone of denim yarn in the first place. I kind of forgot about it until a couple of weeks ago when I was going through my knitting patterns. I bought the pattern, god, about 4 years ago? A long time ago. I’ve blogged about it before, on Blacksheep (looking at that post, it was almost exactly 4 years ago! how time flies). Well, 4 years later I still really like the pattern so I decided to cast on. So far so good. Almost finished with the back. Wait till you see how long it is! It’s scary long. But I’ll talk about that in my next Crafty Monday post.

I also crocheted! I made a hook roll. It was so fun! I even made little the little flowers! And the buttons are vintage from Ye Olde Button tin (the story of the button tin can read here). Check it out:

Have a great Monday! what’s left of it, anyway.

  • That's so cute! It's good sign that you still like that pattern after all this time...just think about how much you'll love wearing it once it's done. And please blog about how you like the denim yarn...I've been curious about it for a while, but haven't decided whether it's worth trying.
