Change

Moni

I have spent the day updating my blog template. It’s all shiny and pretty now! And I even have my own images in the header, which is what I’ve been wanting to do for awhile. I’m so happy! It makes me want to blog more often!

And with that, I will share an interesting idea that was tweeted over the ether by Frank. An Obama/Kennedy ticket? I like the idea. I like it a lot.

Current Event Wednesday: Obama

Primary Loss and Furor Over Ex-Pastor Hurt Obama in Poll – New York Times
Senator Barack Obama’s aura of inevitability in the battle for the Democratic presidential nomination has diminished in the wake of his loss in the Pennsylvania primary and the furor over his former pastor, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News Poll.

I have to say. I’m disappointed that this is happening to Obama. I like him. I so want him to win. We need him. If he doesn’t make it then I will vote for Clinton. Because any Democrat is better than McCain (and, thus, the status quo). But I have to say I am very disappointed in Hillary Clinton’s tactics during this election. I am just so sick of all of the negativity. But am I surprised that she is like this? No. She has always been pretty cut-throat. This is nothing new.

An idea for a bumpersticker

Moni

“I hated Bush before it was cool.”

That has to have already been done, though…It just kind of percolated up to the surface of my brain cells last night as I was making dinner….

I don’t know how fun it would be to drive around in this town with it on my car, though. Then again, it might be rather amusing :) .

edit: It HAS already been done. I knew it! I must have seen it somewhere before. Hmmm…maybe I will buy a shirt…

Are you kidding me?!?

Moni

A major bridge collapses in a major metropolitan city and our President plays the “blame game” during his speech? Did you listen to that tripe?

As soon as I can find it online I will link to the speech. It’s utterly disgusting, the way he politicized the situation.

grrrr…..

Update: I’m kind of annoyed. I got an annoying comment to this post and wondered what the deal was. So I went back to the article at CNN and saw that it links back to this blog post. That annoys me. It would be nice if they told me they were doing that. The last thing I want is every freaking troll commenting on a two sentence blog post that they clearly don’t read. So I got rid of the link. Go to CNN for for info on this story.

VocalNation.net

Moni

Tony posted this comment the other day:

a while back I got kind of pissed off flipping between the O’Rielly Factor and Democracy Now, not so much because the had such completely different views, but rather because they both claimed to be objective. So I started coding a website that would allow people to be called out on biased opinions, where the community would decide which ideas get the most recognition. Well, after 6 months of work, I’m finally launching it: VocalNation.net

I’m placing the control of this site, and control of the debate, largely in the hands of those who read this message. I’m starting things off by just picking a handful of conservative and liberal blogs to mention this to so that it will at least start off with a good balance of opinions from either side. I’m hoping that you could mention the site to your readers? After that, I guess it’ll be the side with the strongest arguments that’ll take control and dictate what direction the conversation goes. I’ve already had a number of conservatives sign up and a few have added postings, the liberals seem to be lagging a bit behind so far.

I don’t have a lot of extra time to post on yet another blog at the moment, but if anyone else is interested they can find the website here:
